Toilets & Drains
If your toilet isn't flushing properly, there is likely a clog in the system. Most minor clogs are easily resolved with a plunger. Please try this before making a maintenance request.
Is your sink or shower draining slowly or not at all? There may be a clog. These often occur as debris collects in the pipes.
You can try to clean a drain using a number of different tools. Most hardware stores sell drain cleaners you can use to try to pull the clog out. Liquid plumbing products are also useful, but please follow instructions carefully and do not overuse these or you could damage the pipes.
If you lose electricity...
Call your utility provider to see if they can help you determine the cause of your outage. There may a simple explanation, such as downed lines in your neighborhood or grid congestion.
No Hot Water
If you don't have hot water in your rental home, locate your heater and check the tank settings. Verify that everything looks correct and make certain the temperature settings are high enough.
If you make adjustments, give the water time to heat again before testing whether or not its working.
If your heating or air conditioning isn't operating properly, locate your thermostat and verify that all settings are correct. Please doublecheck this before making your repair request.
